So now there’s this new law in Ohio that says they can cut off your pell grant after 12 semesters.  Which means I don’t get any pell this summer, and as I don’t have $3500 laying around for my tuition, I may have to drop some of my classes.  Which means I still have them to go, so I may not graduate in December as planned. FML!!  I guess the moral of the story is finish college before you have kids and job and need to space the classes out

So I’m plotting heavily right now.  One idea that will still allow me to graduate on time is to drop 1 summer class, then get on a payment plan for the remainer and try and wiggle that class in this fall.  Don’t know if its gonna happen, but we’ll see!

On the upside, one class still a go this summer is my coral reef ecology class for my oceanography minor.  This class takes place in the Bahamas for 2 weeks. :D  Once its done  it will finish off one of my graduation requirements so thats nice.  Whats also nice is I will be snorkeling for a big part of that class.  Awesome-sauce!

Warning, undergrad rant coming on….

Provided I don’t fail any of my summer classes (I did sign up for 15 credit hours :P ) I will have 3 classes and 1 seminar left for my degree.  Chemistry, Physics, and French.  Woo!  I so thought that would be a cake final semester.  But here is where the bullshit emerges.

As it is, for me to take these 3 weenie classes, I would have to be on campus Mon-Fri and I would have to migrate around to 2 other satelite campuses.  So basically, I would have to take each class on a different campus….WTF?  AND we’re talking early morning and evening classes, and my campus is too fuckin far away for me to drive back home between them so thats some major ass ball-suckage going on there.

I have a call into an advisor right now, waiting for her to call me back.  I have an idea, but don’t know if its going to fly.  Fingers crossed!

This is going to be slightly disturbing and amusing at the same time ;)  The earliest thing I remember is hiding under an end table so I could cut the hair off a Barbie doll with scissors.  Funny thing is I also remember thinking I better get not get caught~~evil laugh…..

I am going to get that video shot this week!  I wish I could shoot it right now but its rather overcast right now and my camera needs really good light for it to work well.  I’m going on a hunt for some new sheets today so maybe I’ll see if I can find a good light to use so I’m not at the mercy of the sun gracing us with its presence.

Another mission for this week is to decide what color to repaint my bedroom.  This goes along with the whole sheet shopping thing.  I know what colors I want my bed to be, so I decided to get those first then decide what color to make the walls.  I might take some pics tonight and you guys can tell me what you think ;)  Cause I royally suck at picking wall colors.  I have never been happy with any color I have picked for my walls in any color other than a boring neutral cream. Right now the color that is in my room now is a ‘delicate violet’ that was supposed to be a greyish antique purple.  Dammit.  I want to go darker this time.  I’m thinking like a really dark aqua.

And a final note, I have decided that for the entire month of March I am going to take and post a picture each day.  Its my birth month (yay Pisces!) and I thought it would be a fun project that would get me more acquainted with my camera.  Hope it doesn’t turn out to be a pain in the ass. ;)

Shooting videos solo is tougher than it looks.  Well, maybe not once I’ve gotten enough practices.  I shot one that was too dark, one with bad sound, and one where I’ve cut my head off.  I haven’t even made it to the editing board yet.  So I’m still working at it.

On a more ‘humanitarian note’, I wanted to share something I did this week.  I found $26 in the parking lot this week.  There were no cars around where I found the bills (a 1, 5, and a 20 if you were wondering).  My first thought was ‘Oh, shit!  I would be freaking out if this was my money I had dropped.’  But of course, the parking lot is empty, finding the owner would be impossible, and if I left it someone else would just be happy to take it.

So I came up with a solution that calmed my pity for the poor money dropper.  I decided to donate it to http://www.oceanconservancy.org/support-us/ $26 exactly.  I am a little sad the person who lost it doesn’t know they did something to help our oceans, but I’m sure the ocean would thank them if it could.  By like, I dunno…holding back a hurricane till after their Bahamas trip.  And maybe I’ve paid down a little karmic debt myself.  Come to think of it, maybe the person who dropped the money is a douche-bag and this is their karmic-bitchslap.  Whatever…it went to a good cause regardless ;)

Wow, its been a while since I’ve done the blogging thing.  And never done a ‘vlog’, going to have to learn to not hate the camera so here goes!

 I’m going to be shooting my first yoga tutorial for youtube tomorrow.  I decided to start with my favorite pose, which is pidgeon pose.  The pompous ‘I-am-wise-yogi’ version is eka pada rajakapatasana, but I like to call it put-your-foot-on-top-of-your-head pose.  If you’re totally lost, just look at my profile pic, thats the one.

I worked a long time on making it to that pose.  Being a dancer by nature I’m drawn to the ‘pretty’ poses and looked everywhere for help on getting to it before I had it and came up with zilch.  I thought there has got to be a trick other than, ‘just keep working on it!’  And there is, and I’m a-gonna share it.  Hopefully it works for someone else.  And since its my favorite, its a good video to start my youtube channel out with.
